My dog is a black miniature poodle and I’m also training my neighbor’s black toy poodle mines 6 months hers is 5 months. I forgot a few things he knows: sit, down, wait, stay, leave it, heel, paw, walk (on 2 legs) the other dog knows sit, down and wait, in the summer I’ll do Agility and Flyball

Answer by hellosunshine_hbFetch! “Bring” and “give” or “out” are great things to teach your dog. “Come” is a pretty darn good one too.

Jeffrey Hampton Schettler was honored as the 2012 recipient of the Arthur J. Haggerty Award for excellence in writing by the Alliance of Purebred Dog Writers with his book entry, “K9 Trailing—The Straightest Path.” Schettler was also the keynote speaker at the awards luncheon which took place on Sunday, February 12, at Sardis’ restaurant in New York City. The award, established in honor of Captain Arthur Haggerty, one of the greatest dog writers of all time, is presented annually just prior to the Westminster Dog Show.
