I was wondering how you could get into the crab fishing business, like on the television show “Deadliest Catch”. I am interested in it and any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Answer by Robert JohnFirst thing that you do, is come up with about 4-6 million dollars, with which to purchase a boat & traps, then you secure a commercial crab fishing license.

Then find a crab house, that will purchase your catch, then, gather an experienced crew & off you go

Question by PEW PEW!: What do they do with the pots in deadliest catch?
On the TV show, “Deadliest Catch”, They fish for crabs, when the drop the pots, do they just leave them underwater and pick them up later or attach the pots to the boat somehow? What if the pot gets lost in the ocean?

Question by Ole Fisherman: Does anyone else watch WFN, (World Fishing Network)? ?
That Charlie Moore has grown on me, (and that’s sayin’ something cause I’m a serious Southern redneck! LOL). Every time I watch his show I think of the movie “Good Will Hunting” and those Boston accents Matt Damon & Ben Affleck were sporting.

I also like watching Blairs show “Addictive Fishing” for saltwater fishing.

Blair catches some good inshore fish, but he’s “pushin” Wright & McGill tackle.

Anybody heard any news on Wright & McGill rods & reels?
Adam- You should switch from Direct to Dish. 24 hour, no “info-mercials” after 12, fishing shows. And they have a good mix of Fresh and Saltwater shows, (not skewed toward 1 type of fishing).

Question by C’mon Get Happy: Why won’t they do a “Survivor: Northern Russia” on CBS?
I am an avid fan of the CBS show “Survivor”, I would really like to see them do a season on some cold, desolate area, just once. Only to see how the bikini clads can survive all covered up. Too many times, the bikini-clad girls hang on the coattails of the men for too long in the game. It’d be interesting to see how far they get wearing parkas, snow pants & snow boots. I think it would be a REAL survivor show if paticipants would have to ice fish and live in igloos made by their own hands! Why Not?
