We have a one year old boxer that we had since she was a 9 week old pup. (That is her in the pic except she is older now…lol). The whole family just loves her, she is a great dog. But, recently I noticed her really wanting to be around kids A LOT!! We take our daily walk in the neighborhood down to the park and around the baseball diamonds. Well, now that it is nicer outside, the kids are at the baseball diamonds now. Question by English Cowgirl: How can I get to bond with my new dog and get her to trust me?
I adopted a 3 year old Golden Retriever cross (the mix is unknown) and she was found as a stray ot in the snow. I picked her because she was so gentle and nice. She was REALLY good natured, not hyper at all, and she was very patient. I took her out of her cage, and bent down to pet her, she just rolled over and wanted a belly rub, and right then and there I knew she was the one.
