June 2, 2012 10 AM to 3 PM Admission: Benefiting: Haven Humane shelter animals Haven Humane Society's 4th Annual Dog-A-Thon Festival and Arts and Craft's Faire Walk for the Animals is set for June 2nd , 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. at Haven's pet walking trail. It will be an action packed day with demonstrations by Hennigan's Spinning Frisbee®K9s, sheep herding dogs, contests and doggie participating events. Question by bengali_fob34: FREE the ANIMALS?!?
If animals were meant to be free and not in zoos/captivity, then how come people keep pets?

Shouldn’t they be free to roam around like other animals?

What about fish? You can’t take them for a “walk”/swim outside.

Some people are purely refering to zoos, I’m talking about pets like dogs, cats, birds, and fish (and all other pets!).

People are so concerned about animals in zoos, but shouldn’t they also be concerned about dogs, fish and cats that are stuck in peole’s house and then go outside for 10 minute walks?

Why did you domesticate them in the first place if they can’t survive in teh wild now. Maybe if you didn’t keep buying pets then there would eventually be no domesticated pets.

Question by hoha: Kill shelters…What are the reasons they kill the animals?
I have tryed everything to give my cat a good home…i got engaged back home and i have to move there…unfortunatly my country will not allow andy pets to be taken in or out.(iraq). I have tryed shelters craigslist kijjiji websites and everything..i called a shelter that is a “kill shelter” I asked her what would make them euthanize my cat,,,i think she has ear mites so i dont want to take her there only to have her killed for something like tht…i love her to much…can u tell me what reasons they kill the cats and what are the requirements that make them euthanize them…sorry if that doesnt make sense…

Question by bananas: Tennese Animal Shelter Abusing their animals…?
If you live in San Diego and just watched FOX News ,or if you’ve seen it anywhere else, there was just a segmnet on a Animal Shelter in Tennesse who were caught on tape dragging limp dogs, and putting them in trashcans to be “euthenized”. My question is : Can anyone give me the NAME of that particular “animal shelter” and or phone number??
