DOT Says Speeding New York City Drivers Cause Most Number of Fatal Crashes: Personal Injury Lawyer Kenneth A. Wilhelm Urges Better Speed Enforcement

New York City DOT Commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan has called for swift state authorization for the city to use speed-camera enforcement for the first time, with priority given to streets that are near schools. According to a March 18 DOT news release, the department’s statistics for 2012 show that speeding was the greatest single factor in traffic deaths contributing to over 30 percent of all crash fatalities.
