New York, N.Y (PRWEB) April 12, 2013
New York City DOT Commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan has called for swift state authorization for the city to use speed-camera enforcement for the first time, with priority given to streets that are near schools. Winnipeg Humane Society Says Dog Adoption a Problem for Black Dogs – Launches “Black Dog Club”
Winnipeg, MB (PRWEB) February 28, 2012
Have you ever heard of Black Dog Syndrome? It’s a subconscious condition in the minds of people interested in dog adoption. Black dogs, it seems, are the last to be picked by potential owners looking to adopt a pet because of unintentional discrimination. Nebraska Circular Advocating Killing Cats Based on Poor Science, Best Friends Says
Kanab, UT (Vocus/PRWEB) December 05, 2010
A recently published study by a university’s extension office is misleading: It uses pseudo-science to advocate for the wholesale destruction of free-roaming cats, according to experts from the national animal welfare organization Best Friends Animal Society.
Dr. Frank McMillan, DVM, ACVIM, and director of well-being studies for the Utah-based organization, says authors of the six-page circular “Feral Cats and Their Management,” published by the University of Nebraska Lincoln Extension, use every known propaganda technique in discussing the issue.
“There is… Continue reading this item...
